KWSG procures 500 mattresses for the State NYSC

As part of its commitment to sustain a conducive environment for Youth Corps members and the sustainability of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kwara State, the State government has again procured 500 mattresses for the Camping activities.

The Commissioner overseeing the Ministry of Youth Development, Hon. Yunusa Lade Usman, who performed the official handing over of the mattresses, noted that the State government is committed to its agenda of providing everything necessary to make the lives of Youth Corps members comfortable in Kwara State.

The Commissioner stressed that the procurement of the mattresses is the beginning of better collaboration between the State government and the NYSC.

“Our Governor is a father for all and this token is part of the government’s support for the NYSC, which shows that the government is interested in the welfare of Youth Corps members in the State.”

“It is part of His Excellency’s commitment to create enabling environment for the youths to thrive and also make the stay of the Corps members memorable”, Hon. Usman said.

He stated further, “the mattresses will be available for use for prospective corps members now and in the future.”

Earlier, The Kwara NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Olaoluwa Joshua Onifade, stressed that the kind gesture shown to them cannot be overemphasized.

The State Coordinator expressed that the procurement of 500 mattresses for Corps members by the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, shows that he is a good father and leader, who wants the Corps members to sleep at ease during their camp activities.

Present at the handing over ceremony were the Management and staff of the Ministry of Youth Development and those of the State NYSC.
